And to say that it was the city
of my first love
Capri, it's over
I don't believe
That I will return one day..."
Sang Hervé Vilard in the mid 60s.
This Summer, Cuisse de Grenouille will make you fall in love again with the island of turquoise inlets and sunny bays where you can live La Dolce Vita.
Making yourself feel good… this, above all else, is what is at the heart of a collaboration between two brands. The deep and real relationship between Cuisse de Grenouille and See Concept the origin of this collaboration on a pair of sunglasses.
Since last summer, you may have discovered Cuisse de Grenouille’s universe at Le Bon Marché in its newly-redesigned men’s area amongst beachwear brands that matter! Encouraged by this success, we continue the adventure on the Left Bank by participating to the event “Silence les Mouettes” until the end of June. In the atmosphere of the seaside, with a navy blue t-shirt exclusive for Le Bon Marché with its print echoing the shape of a buoy on which Côte d’Azur is written with Art Deco letters.
When you look at Nick Brown’s life, always in the same white jeans, you might think that summer never stops! His trips around the world, his breaks between sea and land in luxurious paradises, his surfing lifestyle, show a certain ideal of a relaxed life.
Head for the Rivera with Cuisse de Grenouille this summer! The Cote d'Azur of the sixties has inspired the style for the new collection. With chic simplicity, imagine a hazy, sun filled ambiance for a gentle life oscillating between the beach and the casino.
At Cuisse de Grenouille, we like the spirit of travel and adventures. It's what entices us about the success of the chef Mauro Colagreco and his restaurant Le Mirazur in Menton, included as one of the best restaurants The World's Fifty Best restaurants, the excellent and controversial guide, and indeed the best French restaurant included in the rankings!
At Cuisse de Grenouille, we like traditional American collared button-down shirts, a tribute to the way of life of American colleges full of sixties preppy boys. From the same source of American inspiration, we also derive the Western shirt, in multiple denims.
Even God Himself would surf with the Devil if the waves were big enough…Dorian "Doc" Paskowitz could have been the devil himself, ferrying his clan of nine kids from beach to beach in his 8 square-metre caravan. Graduating from Stanford, California with a promising political career in Hawaii, this doctor left it all behind in 1956 after two divorces, and dedicated the rest of his life to his passion: surfing.
"La Brigade de l'Amour is a little breath of fresh air; love and good feelings that don’t hurt anyone" says Jean-Max Carrier, the founder of the brand with the eponymous name. Can making Love - with a capital L - be a lifestyle? This is what he decided to create with his friends in a troubled world where the rules of dating have become too digital. Sensibility, attention, and generosity are values that still exist, though Tinder, Adopteunmec, and Gleeden may have you believe otherwise. Are you a lover of love? There is room for you in this world yet! Their signature can be found found today on a "Brigade de l'Amour" sweatshirt that its ambassadors wear like a banner. And in order to fight against the speed-dating trend, the "Apéros de l'Amour" ensure some time for meeting and sharing with others (dates on their website).
A true palace, just how we like it: discreet, without ostentations luxury, with its habits and traditions and thousands of stories to tell. Nestled in the famous Swiss village of Gstaad, in the Oberland region, this architectural gem celebrated its centenary in 2013, having survived two world wars, the economic crises, the Roaring Twenties…and still it remains majestic as ever in front of the summit of Spitzhorn.
